Teacher Appreciation Week

We had wonderful participation in this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4–8). Our Hospitality Committee provided delicious staff meals on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, along with special treat bags on Wednesday. A big thank you to everyone who contributed food, funds, and time to make this week so special for our educators!

Spring Teacher Grants

Thanks to the generosity of our members, we were able to conduct a second round of grants this year! This month, we approved and funded these teacher grant applications:
Art: Funding to replenish paints and clay for end-of-year painting and ceramics projects.
Counseling: Essential supplies for student engagement, regulation, and outreach events.
Music & Choir: High-quality audio equipment for school performances.

Holmes Junior High PTA has funded over $2,000 in teacher grants with celebratory school-related icons.

Teacher Grants Funded

The PTA approved $2,049.42 in teacher grants on 11/7. These funds include financing a "Medieval Bread" activity, procuring novels for Spanish courses and books for an English curriculum activity, covering some transportation costs for Earth & Science students to attend the Sacramento State Planetarium field trip, and purchasing a variety of balls for Physical Education and intramural programs.
